Good stuff. Tricky but charming and fun.

thanks for your review
The start was a bit tedious, energy very low, but it got a lot better with more upgrades. Overall pretty fun stuff. Interested to see where it would go in a full release.
My feedback would be to redraw the asteroids in some different sizes instead of just scaling them. At larger size it looks really messy and not pretty.
Having the game thumbnail show the actual game is probably better. I almost didn't click the thumbnail as it looked like an AI image.
Hey! Thanks so much for your play. The intended design is supposed to be a bit slow at the start however I do get this feedback a bit. Im still brainstorming ideas on how to fix this or even if i need to. My thought process is that when a player plays the full game that will have 3+ hrs of content, the slow start wont even be noticed.
About the asteroids, yes Ive spent more hours than i like to admit trying to draw these but the fact might just be that I am terrible and always will be at this. Ill look into changing it.
My artist would have a stROKE if he heard you say his capsule image was AI lol
Nice snake game. (although the snake kind of look like something else.. ehh )
There is no hit detection on the walls or the snake itself so there is no real challenge as you can't loose.
Thank you very much for the Review:3
Eh...well...after you said the snake looks like...you know...that will never get out of my head lol
Great looking game with cool atmosphere. Plays really well. Love the look of the enemies.
thanks mate. i actually did just that (the thumbnail bit) already XD
glad to know it plays well! being all stiff and turnbased and so -- many opportunities to screw something off... i'm happy doing pixelart but struggle with the brainwork lol.
cheers :)
Good stuff, i think that played very well. I assume this is in early development as there are no enemies and the background is always the same. But it shows a lot of promise. It was fun to play.
My only feedback would be to keep the pixel size consistent. The character and background have a massive difference.
Also to try to get the game a unique look. Right now it reminds me a lot of Super Mario with the block graphics.
The game's art style is meant to be pixelated. You don't want to see the sprites i originally drew.
I made it to level 12, after that i think I'm done.
It is a simple idea and it works, but it wasn't very fun to play for me. A lot of trial and error.
The sound when a level is completed is annoying. I turned sound off.
The medals starting with 100 is VERY over the top.
now, i update the medals to make them accessible and easy to achieve.
That was a lot of fun. Tricky to master but very addictive gameplay!
glad you liked it!
Nice to see a new game from you. I really like the concept of it but it is way too hard and frustrating to be fun. It is very unforgiving as the hitbox is so large. The slightest touch gets you killed. It is very unfair.
There are some bugs where the player tends to get stuck a lot on the floor and the turrets. Causing deaths.
Playing as a box isn't very exciting. You have the hidden dude added so why not use him? And there is no ending. No reward for all that frustration.
I put the hidden little boy as an easter egg just for fun (you can use this secret code in any stage and even when you die and turn back into a cube.)
I apologize if I left you frustrated or if I made you waste time trying to get to the next level, but I wanted to make a challenging game and not a game with bugs or problems that some people are talking about :( There are some stages where I configured the collision of the platforms to make them difficult, that's why people complain that the game has bad controls.
Pretty fun game once i got used to the controls and mechanics.
That green button that activated the bridge, it also very easily takes the bridge away again resulting in a death. Perhaps have the button only active the bridge.
The music very chaotic and not enjoyable to listen to. The first song sounds like it is two tracks at the same time. I had to turn the sound off.
Sorry that you weren't a fan of the music. The green button only activates when something is sitting on it. If you sit the cookie dough block on the button, it will keep the bridge up for you to walk the path. Thank you for your rating and feedback.
Very charming game. Visuals and presentation is great.
The mouse controls was a bit of a struggle for me though. I know that was the main gimmick for the game but i just found it overly complicated. Also, the player tends to get slowed down/get stuck on the screen corners.
Thank you for the feedback! The player gets stuck because the game doesn't detect the mouse when the cursor is out of the screen. It's on the engine, I don't think it's something I could change, unfortunately. Other games that use mouse to move, like Platypus, keep the player moving even though the cursor is off screen. In this case, the player "slides" on the screen borders. But I couldn't do it like that here. Also, I've received mixed opinions about the controls. Some people seem to adapt more easily to it than others. If I make another twin-stick shooter with this kind of controls, maybe I'll make an option with the usual kind of controls too.
